Cara
Assistant Competition Director
Cara has been teaching dance for over 26 years and dancing since 5. She grew up training and performing in Virginia and Washington D.C. She enhanced her training in NYC under some of the industry's most reputable teachers. Cara teaches tap, jazz, musical theater, tumbling, and other contemporary styles. Cara also adjudicates competition and teaches masterclasses. For both the serious student and recreational student, lessons of character, teamwork and the love of dance can be learned under her instruction.

Caralynne
Recreational Director
Caralynne has been part of the No Limits family since she was 11. As Recreational Director, she loves helping kids grow, have fun, and feel confident through dance. She is passionate about creating a positive and welcoming space where every dancer feels they belong.

Sarah
Ballet Instructor
Sarah Lapointe, a Maryland native, trained at The Rock School for Dance Education on full scholarship and was recognized as a National YoungArts Winner in Ballet and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts semi-finalist. She went on to dance with Charlotte Ballet, earning spots on Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” and Charlotte Agenda’s “30 Under 30,” while also guest performing with The Washington Ballet. Since retiring in 2023, she has been pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Jillian
Recreational Teacher
Jillian is a proud NLDC alum who previously danced in the studio’s competitive program before returning to share her love of dance with the next generation. As a recreational teacher, she brings energy, encouragement, and a deep connection to the NLDC family. Jillian is passionate about helping her students grow in confidence, skill, and joy both on and off the dance floor.

Maddie
Recreational Instructor
Madeline Yentsch has been part of NLDC for 6 years. She earned her BA in Dance Performance and Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019. Alongside teaching at No Limits, she is a full-time dance educator at Piedmont Community School, where her choreography has earned two Blumey Award nominations.

Olivia
Competition and Recreational Teacher
Olivia has been a dance teacher/choreographer for over 10 years. She has collegiate dance team experience with a passion for Jazz & Lyrical. Olivia is excited to join the NLDC team for her second year.

Cooper
Recreational Teacher
Cooper been a part of No Limits Dance Company since it first opened and danced on the competition team for 10 years before discovering her true passion—teaching. She now been teaching at NLDC for the past two years and absolutely loves sharing her passion for dance with her students.

Alex
Hip Hop Teacher
Alex White, originally from the Bronx and now based in Charlotte, NC, is a multi-talented entertainer, choreographer, and producer. He is the Captain of the Charlotte Hornets’ “Hive Hip Hop Crew” and has performed in national commercials, films, tours, and musicals including Chicago, Alvin & the Chipmunks, and campaigns for Target and Coca-Cola. At NLDC, Alex shares his passion and expertise by teaching hip hop.

Rachael
Tumbling Instructor
Coach Rachael Helms enjoys teaching the joy of movement through acro and tumbling. With a background as a competitive gymnast, Rachael has extensive experience with performing and teaching gravity defying moves in tumbling, circus arts, and aerial arts. She’s now enjoying teaching third generation athletes and helping students achieve placement with production companies all over the U.S. She also serves the local community as a firefighter!

Amanda has since toured the world performing in numerous shows including Spirit of Christmas, All Wheels Extreme, Twist and Shout, Happy Holidays, Boogie Wonderland, Rhythm and Rhyme, and aerial performances aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She’s also taught and choreographed at studios across North Carolina, New York, and New Jersey.
Alongside her dance career, Amanda developed a strong passion for fitness and healthy living. She went on to compete in bodybuilding competitions, earning both her WNBF and OCB Bikini Pro Cards, officially becoming a Natural Bikini Professional.
Fulfilling her lifelong dream, Amanda opened No Limits to inspire and uplift others through movement. Most recently, she achieved another incredible milestone—making the Carolina Panthers TopCats NFL Cheer Team!
Amanda continues to push boundaries and live out her dream, one performance—and one inspired dancer—at a time.

MEET
THE
DIRECTOR
Amanda Carter is the proud owner of No Limits Dance Company and No Limits Fitness, bringing a lifetime of experience, passion, and performance to everything she does.
Trained in a wide variety of styles—Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Gymnastics, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, African, Modern, and Aerial Acrobatics—Amanda began her journey at the Central Academy of Technology and Arts, a performing arts high school in Monroe, NC. It was there that dance became more than a hobby—it became her purpose.
After high school, Amanda was accepted into the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NYC, where she trained under top instructors through the Independent Study Program. Upon completing the program, she landed her first professional job with Spirit Productions, joining the national and international tour of Man in the Mirror, a Michael Jackson tribute show.
